PROGRAM: Cultivating Mushrooms

We will learn how to grow mushrooms at home in yard, garden, or garage. This presentation will focus on the basics of hobby level mushroom cultivation, emphasizing growing outdoors, or incorporating mushrooms into your garden or landscaping. Also briefly discussed will be the benefits of mushrooms and mushroom compost in vegetable and fruit gardening and their role in soil production.

Presenter: Chris Swinson, CFO - Chief Fungal Officer and Owner Mycophile’s Garden Mushroom Farm

Chris is a state Certified wild mushroom expert. He has been growing mushrooms for 20 years and, for the last decade, has been selling them commercially as well as hunting, selling, and teaching about them across West Michigan.
